Longline rate tracking

NKE offers a Temperature/Pressure data logger designed for drifting longline fishing. This sensor indicates the longline sink rate and the surrounding temperature. These data are transmitted during line hauling. The captain can thus view temperature and pressure data on the onboard PC. The software displays the depth curve over time and according to thermocline.

The sensor can record an entire fishing expedition. The captain is informed of the gear’s behaviour in fishing conditions and can associate this information with catches as well as with hook timer data to better define productive areas.
